Jr Knight Training in Maryland

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at the Maryland Castle! Jr Knight Training is the perfect way for kids to step into the shoes of a knight and learn about the bravery and dedication it takes to defend the realm.

This incredible experience is FREE with each child admission! Just show up early and be ready for adventure!

EVENT DETAILS

When: Thursday & Friday, April 17 & 18, 2025 before the 3 pm shows
Doors Open: 1:30 pm
Training Starts: 2 pm
Where: Maryland Castle – 7000 Arundel Mills Cir, Hanover, MD 21076

Children must be between the ages of 5 and 12 to participate. Space is limited and training is available on a first come, first served basis. Training is open to both boys and girls. Closed-toe shoes are required to participate.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Weapons Demonstration & Training: The training begins in the arena with a thrilling weapons demonstration by our skilled knights and Weapons Master. Watch in awe as they showcase the art of swordsmanship and the precision needed to wield a knight’s weapon. Kids will learn sword fighting movies and about the grueling training regimen of a knight. Then, the King and Queen will talk about the virtues of becoming a modern-day knight.

Group Knighting Ceremony: Upon completion of the training, all participants will be knighted to become Honorary Knights of the Realm, a moment they will cherish forever!

Prepare for an afternoon of chivalry, bravery, and fun at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in Maryland!
